Monday April 8, 2024, Law Enforcement from Anderson, Oconee and Pickens counties all came together at Anderson University for the Law Enforcement Appreciation Banquet hosted by Dr. Chuck Williamson, School of Public Service and Administration, Anderson University.

Honorable Alan Wilson, SC Attorney General, was our Keynote Speaker who praised law enforcement for their hard work and dedicated service and their sacrifices to keep our community safe by putting criminals behind bars and keeping our communities safe.

On behalf of Anderson Area Crime Stoppers, President Terry Crooks and the dedicated Executive Board members Cynthia Robertson, Jamie Lazar, and Greg Shore, named the 4 carefully chosen Kenny Caldwell Memorial Scholarship winners of $1,000.00 each to help pay tuition to further their education and careers in law enforcement. All winners received recognition at our January 3, 2024, Crime Stoppers meeting.

Paige Newell, a Command College Student, was present at the banquet and joined us for recognition as one of the recipients. She is an Anderson City Police Officer and was accompanied by Anderson City Police Chief Stewart and Nikki Carson.

Attorney General Alan Wilson joined in applauding her for her achievements.

The other Kenny Caldwell Scholarship Winners who were not present for the banquet, are Rosella Stike, Justin Carroll, and Madelyn Tucker.
